Our Program
Sayre's Academic Program spans three divisions from preschool through twelfth grade. The academic program is thorough and comprehensive in scope and unfolds incrementally as it crosses grade levels. Its fundamental goal is to educate students to be independent thinkers who leave Sayre with the intellectual and emotional preparation needed to confidently and successfully pursue their educational and personal goals. A congenial, open relationship between faculty and students contributes to a learning environment that is comfortable and allows students to express themselves freely. Located in the heart of central Kentucky, Sayre provides students an opportunity to participate in the life of the local community and shares with them a perspective that transcends its regional boundaries.
One of the school’s signature strengths is its ability to work with a wide variety of students. This diversity of learners enriches the school community, as students of varied talents recognize and accept each other’s strengths and weaknesses, and teachers broaden their repertoire of strengths to successfully reach all students.
Sayre School is fully accredited by the Independent Schools Association of the Central States (ISACS). Further, Sayre is a member of the National Association of Independent Schools (NAIS), and the Kentucky Association of Independent Schools (KAIS).
In addition, Sayre is a member of the National Association of College Admissions Counselors (NACAC), Secondary School Admission Test Board (SSATB), and the Council for Spiritual and Ethical Education (CSEE).
The school is fully sanctioned by the Kentucky High School Athletic Association (KHSAA).
